Edgar T. Dusenbury, Former Portville Resident, Passes

Succumbed To Brief Illness Saturday; Was Engaged In Lumber Business In
California.

Edgar T. Dusenbury, a former resident of Portville, passed away after a brief illness at San
Francisco, Calif., Saturday.  Mr. Dusenbury had been a resident of California for the last twenty-five
years, where he was engaged in the lumber and timber business.

He was born in Newton Mills, Forest County, Pa., May 8, 1885, moving to Portville with his family
in 1892.

Mr. Dusenbury attended the public schools at Portville; the Lawrenceville School at Lawrenceville,
N. J. and was graduated from Princeton University, Class of ’07.

Surviving are two brothers, William A. Dusenbury and Duncan C. Dusenbury, Portville.

Funeral services will be held at the family residence in Portville, Thursday afternoon at three o’
clock.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Portville.


Rites Held At Family Home In Portville Thursday Afternoon.

Funeral services for the late Edgar T. Dusenbury, prominent California lumberman, who succumbed
last Saturday, were conducted at the family residence in Portville, Thursday afternoon at three o’
clock.

The Rev. George F. Loehr, pastor of the Portville Presbyterian Church, officiated, assisted by the
Rev. Frank W. Bible of Chicago, and the Rev. Reginald W. Wheeler of New York.  Burial was in the
Dusenbury plot in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Portville.
