so adamantly as Robert M. Fairbanks.  A graduate of Portville Central School
and member of the High School Band, Bob is now known as the "The Pied
Piper" of Portville. He organized and directed The Bent Brass Ensemble and is
a member of numerous community bands.  Bob served as Portville Central
School’s Business Manager for twenty years, District Clerk, Interim
Superintendent, and Clerk-of-the-Works for the five million dollar building
project.  His community/charitable involvement includes: The United Way, the
Portville Historical and Preservation Society, Trustee of the Village Land Use
Appeals Board, and Elder at the First Presbyterian Church of Portville.
